SHEFFIELD

Sheffield is a city in South Yorkshire, an English county. The Millennium Gallery in Sheffield’s city center shows metalwork and art from around the world. It is adjacent to the Winter Garden, a temperate glasshouse filled with plants. The Kelham Island Museum exhibits the city’s industrial heritage. There are moorland and rocky ridges in the nearby Peak District National Park.

Things to Do in Sheffield

Sheffield is filled with independent restaurants and microbreweries, live music, great outdoors, award-winning theatre, colourful street art, fascinating exhibitions, and lively festivals all year round.

What is Sheffield Most Famous For

As one of England’s industrial powerhouses, Sheffield has become a rising star of the UK’s arts and culture scene. The husks of Sheffield Steel’s once mighty factories and foundries now house galleries, theatres, and museums. Sheffield Steel was once famous for its stainless steel cutlery.

The Peak District

Peak District’s very special characteristics are well known to the residents of the towns and cities that surround the National Park. It is the magic of the Peak District that awaits visitors from far away, whether they are British or foreign.

Sheffield Winter Gardens

The building is 70 meters long and 22 metres high (large enough to house 5000 domestic greenhouses). The Winter Garden also houses the Bessemer Gallery and offers a welcome stop for coffee and light refreshments.

Chatsworth House

Duke and Duchess of Devonshire’s home is situated in the Peak District National Park in Derbyshire.
All year round, the 1000 acre park, farm shop, and restaurant are open. Chatsworth has a long tradition of welcoming locals and visitors from all over the world. It would be our pleasure to welcome you.
