Manchester is a major city in the northwest of England with a long industrial history. The Castlefield conservation area’s 18th-century canal system recalls the city’s days as a textile powerhouse, and the interactive Museum of Science & Industry charts this history. Salford Quays dockyards now house the Daniel Libeskind-designed Imperial War Museum North and Lowry cultural centre.
The LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Manchester is the ultimate indoor LEGO play area and provides a unique day out for the whole family. Legoland Discovery Centers are designed especially for children aged 3-10 – everything is kid-sized!
From the moment you step through the door, you’ll feel as if you’ve stepped into a giant LEGO box! We have over 2 million LEGO bricks under our roof!
Manchester, the city where the industrial revolution began, is home to the Science and Industry Museum. The place is full of revolutionary inventions and objects that changed the course of history.
In the Revolution Manchester Gallery, explore Manchester’s rich legacy of inventions and discoveries, learn about its connection to the cotton industry in the Textiles Gallery and engage with science in Experiment, our family-friendly interactive gallery.
